Calendar For the 2019 New York Electronic Art Festival

Saturday May 25th The opening concert, programmed for Harvestworks by Allison Tantakarn,  will feature Mario Diaz De Leon, Colin Marston, and Lea Bertucci each performing sonic pieces that reflect the diversity, intensity, and creativity of the Harvestworks community of makers. Tickets: $15 Location: 22 Boreum Place Brooklyn NY. 

June 1 – Aug 11: Physical and Digital: multifaceted visions in electronic art , a digital media exhibition in Nolan Park Building 10a with Julia Sinelnikova, Amy Youngs, LoVid, Zahra Poonawala, Alexander Hahn, Susie Ibarra, Michael Schumacher, Morehshin Allahyari and Amanda Gutiérrez.  

June 1: Beyond Human: Art & Tech Connections in Urban Parks, a panel discussion with Amy Youngs, Dylan Gauthier and Julia Oldham at Swale House.

June 1 – 9th : Russian Sound Art Showcase (RSAS) – a compilation of multi-channel Sound Art works of Russian sound artists, who are currently active in scene of mainly Moscow and Saint-Petersburg.  

June 7: First Friday Open till 9 pm

June 8: Artist Talk with Zahra Poonawala and Sergey Kasich

June 15: The New York Hall of Science presents media artists LoVid for an afternoon interaction focused on Left Footprints, a new work in progress.

Monday – Sunday June 17 – 23 from 2 – 5 pm @ Harvestworks, Angus Tarnawsky’s installation Variable Frequencies. A partnership with the ICMC and NYCEMF.

June 22: Artist talk with AIR Nicole Goodwin and Alexander Hahn

June 29: Artist Day and Artist Talk by Seth Cluett

June 30 – Aug. 11: Sounds Over Time: A review of multichannel sound art works from the Harvestworks Community.

July 5: First Friday Open till 9 pm featuring Amanda Gutiérrez sound walk.

July 13 : Sound artist Ben Manley will conduct a multi-location sound art performance with special guests. Cancelled – To be Rescheduled

Performance by Susie Ibarra and the DreamTime Ensemble.

July 19 and20:   A co-presentation with ISSUE Project Room of two performances by acclaimed New Zealand experimental musician Michael Morley (Dead C / Gate) and composer Natacha Diels (July 19) and the duo of Michael Schumacher/Ursula Scherrer (July 20). 

July 27: Artist Talk by Molly Bendell and Amanda Gutiérrez

July 31 – Aug 1: The MorrowSound® Cube – 2004 Celebration Revisited, Originally presented in 2004 at the Kitchen, Harvestworks celebrates our multi-channel systems with a presentation of the MorrowSound Cube, a state of the art technological prototype designed to spatialize the experience of sound into geometric terrain. This installation includes the original commissioned works, including pieces by Phill Niblock, Scanner, Stephen Vitiello and Pamela Z. Artist Talk with Stephen Vitiello, Charlie Morrow and Miya Masaoka on August 1st, @ 7 pm @ Harvestworks. Open to the public from 1 pm – 7 pm, Harvestworks, 596 Broadway Suite 602 NYC and 11 am – 5 pm, Building 10a, Nolan Park, Governors Island.

Aug 2: First Friday Open till 9 pm

Aug 3: Artist Talk by Charlie Morrow followed by a performance by Julia Sinelnikova
