Artist Opening Saturday!
Opening on Saturday May 18, 2024 from 2 – 4:30 pm with a performance by Mónica de la Torre and Hans Tammen at 2:30 pm.New Waves in Art and Tech. A group show of studies in human perception via artworks that explore privacy, brain-computer interfaces, climate and fungal networks, Artificial Intelligence and themes of air, flying and floating.

Friday May 17 from 1 – 2:30 pm – Mari Kimura and the MugicMotion Sensor Workshop with the Glass Cloud Ensemble. Developed by a Guggenheim award-winning violinist/composer Mari Kimura, MUGIC® (Music/User Gesture Interface Control) is a small, versatile and affordable prototype motion sensor that enables you to use your movements to control virtually anything in software.

 LOCATION: Harvestworks Studio 596 Broadway Suite 602 NYC @ Houston Street in Soho.

AI Workshop For Artists

Saturday June 1, 2024. 11 am to 4 pm. This workshop is directed by Resident Ellen Pearlman with assistance by Yuting Tao includes an overview of their work followed by a discussion of issues around AI, IP, legal, regulatory, image banks and pressing issues in AI artists need to know about.In the second part of the workshop, participants will gather in groups to create a 10 – 30 second music video around themes or concepts suggested by the directors or the group.

LOCATION: NYU Tandon School of Engineering @ The Brooklyn Navy Yard. – Building 22, 3rd floor. Limited to 15 participants.
