The Workings of Media [art and artists] exhibition is open to the public from 11 am – 5 pm Sat and Sun August 28 – October 31, 2021 in The Harvestworks Art and Technology Program, Building 10a, Nolan Park, Governors Island. Artists: LadyK, Michael Schumacher, Jocelyn Ho, Matthew Goodheart, Mike Bullock, Sofy Yuditskaya, George Moraitis and Dan Joseph. Appointments are not required. Proof of vaccine is required.

Saturday October 30, 2021 @ 1:30 pm. Join us for an Artist Talk by Matthew Goodheart a composer and sound installation artist. Matthew will discuss his installation …remnants that features an expansion of his electroacoustic technique of reembodied sound through the incorporation of bone-conducting headphones. The Harvestworks Art and Technology Program, Building 10a, Nolan Park, Governors island. FREE.
Saturday October 30, 2021 @ 3 pm. Island Time by Dan Joseph. In conjunction with his multi-channel installation Periodicity Piece #10, composer Dan Joseph (hammer dulcimer) will be joined by musicians J D Parran (winds), Tom Chiu (violin) and Danny Tunick (percussion) for a live performance that will augment the sounds of the installation and expand it throughout the Harvestworks Art and Technology house, Building 10a, Nolan Park, Governors island. Sunday October 31, 2021 2:30 pm. Halloween will never be the same after The Secret Pope–Last Rites Performance by Sofy Yuditskaya with collaborator Andrew MacFarlane. A live play recently created for the Secret Pope Project currently on view in The Workings. On a backdrop of spacey stary skies and computer generated graphics, the Secret Pope emerges reflecting and refracting 8-bit projections of the constellations behind her.
