[March 15] TIP Master Class #3 with Yuting Tao

Yuting Tao is a media artist, educator, and learning design researcher dedicated to making innovation education more accessible. With a background in Design Media Arts from UCLA and currently pursuing graduate studies at Harvard Graduate School of Education, she combines art, technology, and pedagogy to design transformative learning experiences.

In her workshop, Yuting Tao will explore how AI can revolutionize the creative process. Participants will learn about the history of AI development, experiment with AI generative tools for text, image, video, and music creation, and discover ways to integrate AI into their artistic workflow. The workshop will also include critical discussions on ethics, originality, and the future of AI in art. No prior AI experience is needed.

Her expertise spans AI, gamification, VR, and interactive media, crafting immersive educational tools that break traditional learning barriers. Passionate about HCI and theoretical pedagogy, she explores how emerging technologies can enhance STEM education, active learning, and coaching methodologies. Yuting’s research also delves into ADHD interventions, participatory design, and inclusive education, ensuring that learning experiences are adaptable and engaging.

As a former full-time media designer, she has led educational media projects and interactive games, including Melo Go, an AI-integrated music learning game. She is also pioneering the development of customizable fidget tools for focus and stress relief.
